ginger tea

I have been suffering from cold for the past 3days. I thought to make ginger tea today as it reliefs us from the cold for some time,and it is best remedy for cold. I usually take ginger tea when i am suffering from cold or when i thought to smell the aroma of ginger. It is advisable to take ginger tea often as ginger contains very good qualities.Specially it takes main part in digestion,or maintaining temperatur to body.

Recent researches are telling that including turmeric,garlic,ginger in our daily recipes will reduce the chance of Cancer.So try to to put all these ingrediants in our daily food.



Ingrediants:
  • Ginger 1tsp
  • tea powder 1/2tsp
  • sugar 1tsp
  • milk 1/2cup
Preparation:
  1. Take 1cup of water add ginger and boil it.
  2. Now add tea powder and boil it until water becomes half the quantity.
  3. Now add milk and sugar,boil for 2min.switch off stove and take to serving tea cup.
  4. Enjoy the Ginger tea with biscuits or hot snacks.

moongdal(pesarapappu) payasam

As Festivals are lined up,doing different types of sweets for every festival will find difficult.For this i am going to post different sweets every day.

Ingrediants:
  • 1cup moongdal
  • 4cups milk
  • 2cups jaggery
  • 2tsp ghee
  • cashewnuts
  • raisins
Preparation:
  1. soak moongdal in water for an hour.
  2. boil milk in a thick bottomed pan,stir it .
  3. add soaked moongdal to boiling milk again cook it.
  4. once the moongdalis cooked well add jaggery,ghee again cook for 5min
  5. switch off the stove and add raisins and cashews.

onion pakora

This is very simple and tasty snack. As winter season came,and rains are falling.This is the bestever snack which can be done with in 10min you can serve to your guests with combination of masala tea.

Ingrediants:
  • 2onions
  • 1/2cup besan flour
  • salt
  • baking soda
  • 2 green chillies
  • oil for deep fry
Preparation:

  1. Cut onions and green chillies into long slices.
  2. Take a mixing bowl,add onion,green chilli pieces,pinch of baking soda,little salt,and besan flour,mix it well.
  3. As onions already contain water,add little amoount of water or just sprinkle water on the mixture and mix it to thick consistency.
  4. put oil for deep fry,and onion mixture by splitting seperately with hand on oil.
  5. deep fry until brown colour.
  6. crispy and tasty onion pakora is ready to eat.

thotakura pappu

Ingrediants:
  • toor dal 1cup
  • 2tomatoes
  • 6green chillies
  • tamarind lemon size
  • salt to taste
  • 6curry leaves
For tadka:
  • 1/4tsp urad dal
  • 1/2tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2tsp cumin seeds
  • 3 garlic pods
  • 1 redi chilli
Preparation:

  1. wash toor dal and take into cooking pan,add 2cups of water,pinch salt,little oil and let it cook for 10min.
  2. now add green chilli,tomato pieces,thotakura(amarnath leaves), and cook for another 10min.
  3. when all the ingrediants get cooked well  switchoff the stove and add tamarind,dip into the dal so that it soak well.keep for 2min,add salt.and mix well with pappu garita,so that it mix well.and tomato,green chilli pieces are cut and mix well into dal.
  4. now make tadka my adding 2tsp oil,mustard seeds,cumin seeds,garlic pods,red chilli split,curry leaves,fry it and add to dal.
  5. thotakura pappu is ready to eat.
  6. this is traditional way of cooking dal,otherwise you can add all ingrediants in cooker and put upto 3vessels,this is the simpliest way to cook dal.

peas pulao

I have been thinking of making peas pulao week ago.now the time came,so here is the recipe.


Ingrediants:
  • basmati rice 1cup
  • peas 1/2small cup
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon
  • 1 onion
  • 6 curry leaves
  • 1tsp red chilli powder
  • 1tsp dhaniya powder
  • 1tsp garam masala powder
  • salt
  • oil
Preparation:
  1. wash and soak basmati rice for half an hour soak peas in water for 10min.
  2. cut onion,and green chillies.
  3. take 2tsp oil in a heavy bottom pan,add cloves,cinnamon,onion,green chillies,curry leaves stir well.
  4. once the onions turn golden brown colour,add red chilli,dhaniya,garam masala powder,salt.
  5. add basmati rice,and 11/2 cup water,put in medium flame,cook it well.
  6. when rice get cooked well,take into serving plate,and serve hot with raita or cutd or any chutney.

sweet lassi

Lassi...ummmm. this is my favourite from my childhood. whenever i go out with my dad i ask him to get lassi for me. this is the tastiest drink which i would like to have anytime.Today i made it in my kitchen,wow it turned out so good in taste.
here is the prepation for delicious and sweet lassi recipe.

Ingrediants:
  • yoghurt 1cup
  • sugar 2tsp
  • grape essence 1/2tsp
Preparation:
  1. take a bowl add yoghurt whisk it nicely till no lumps are there. now add water to the right consistency.
  2. add sugar,grape essence and mix it well.
  3. take it into a glass its ready to drink.

nuvvula murukulu

this is instant snack. you can keep it in airtight dabba and use it for a week. it is crispy in taste and  very tasty kids will surely love this.

Ingrediants:

  • gram flour 2oogms
  • rice flour 2tsp
  • sesame seeds 2tsp
  • red chilli powder 1tsp
  • salt to taste
  • dalda 50gms
  • oil for deep fry

Preparation:
  1. take dalda in a pan and heat it.
  2. mix gram flour,rice flour,sesame seeds,red chilli powder,salt and  pour heated dalda make like dough with water.
  3. put oil for deep fry.
  4. take muruku maker and place the sufficient dough in the maker,and press on the top and drop like round shape or whichever way you want in the oil.
  5. turn another side and fry it when it comes to light brown colour or fried well remove it and place on the paper tissue so that it will absorb excess oil.
  6. nuvvula murukulu is ready to eat.
