curd rice

Curd rice is the main south indian recipe often made in their homes,it is mostly prepared for college going students,kids. it is very light dish,could be useful for people who are on diet,or preparing for exams. though it is simple its taste is superb.

  • rice 1cup
  • sour curd 1cup
  • 1 green chilli
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 1/4tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4tsp cumin seeds
  • garlic sliced
  • ginger slices
  • 1/2tsp urad dal
  • 1/2tsp chanadal
  • curry leaves
  • coriander leaves
  • oil
  • salt
  1. Take rice in a bowl,pour curd mix it well with hand,add salt,mit it and set aside.
  2. Take a pan put on stove,add 2tsp oil,mustard seeds,cumin seed,chana dal,urad dal,split red chillies,ginger,garlic slices,green chilli pieces,curry leaves,you can add pinch of turmeric also.
  3. take this tadka and pour it on rice,mix it and garnish with coriander leaves.
  4. curd rice is ready. its best combination is pickle,otherwise you can use chutney of your choice.
