bhendi fry



Bhendi or okra is a green vegetable which is easily digestable. It is believed it improves our mathermetical analysing power and memory. Okra fry is my favourite recipe which is simple yet delicious too.
It is side dish accomplishment with hot rice and pappu charu. Okra contains a gummed texture inside which can be reduced by adding little curd by frying or else cut okra into pieces and put in refrigerator for 2-3hours. This way you can reduce the gum inside okra.



Ingredinats:


  • 500gm okra cut into pieces
  • 1large onion cut into small pieces
  • 3garlic cloves peeled,crushed
  • 1 red chilli split
  • 6 curry leaves
  • 1tsp red chilli powder
  • 1tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2tsp turmeric
  • 1/2tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2tsp cumin seeds
  • 2tsp oil
  • salt to taste

Preparation:
  1. Take 2tsp oil in a pan,when oil get heated add mustard and cumin seeds,let it pop up. now add crushed garlic,split red chilli,curry leaves saute it.

  1. Add onion pieces and fry it well. when onions turn light golden colour add okra pieces add turmeric and salt put it in low flame for 10min's.

  1. If you feel there is more gum in okra add 2tsp curd to it.
  2. now add red chilli and coriander powder saute it and let it cook for another 5min.
  3. Okra fry is ready to eat with hot rice.

    ONION RAITA

    Onion Raita is most commonly used recipe for side dish. This is a very quick process,which takes you only 5minutes. It is best combo with any of the rice iterms or paratha.
    I use this recipe as side dish for Masala rice,Tomato rice,Coriander rice,aloo paratha,methi paratha...etc.
    It tastes with any item.

    Ingrediants:

    • 1big onion chopped into small pieces
    • 2 green chillies chopped into pieces
    • salt to taste
    • curd 1cup


    Preparation:
    1. mix onion,green chilli pieces,salt in a bowl.
    2. Add curd and mix it well.tasty onion raita is ready to eat.

    Ragi oats porridge

    Ragi oats porridge a simple and healthy breakfast one should indulge for .It can be made easily with in 10in,it is helpful to anyone for kids to old people. It has all nutritional facts required for the body.
    This is my son's regular breakfast,he loves it a lot.




    Ingrediants:

    • 1cup ragi flour
    • 1cup oats
    • 1cup milk
    • salt to taste




    Preparation:

    1. Mix oats and ragi flour in a pan add 1cup of water to it,mix without any lumps.
    2. switch on stove,stir in continously when it becomes thick add milk and salt to it.
    3. stir it for 2 to 3min,when it is cooked switch off the stove and take into serving bowl garnish with your favourite fruits or consume it directly.
