kesar halwa

This is a very simple dish which can be made instantly and serve to guests with in minutes. I love this recipe because my mom will make this recipe very often.I have 1year baby he loves it a lot.
  • 1cup Bombay rava(suji rava)
  • 1cup sugar
  • 1tsp ghee
  • cashewnuts 5-6
  • kismiss
  1. For 1cup of rava take 2cups of water,boil it.when water comes to boiling stage,add rava by stirring water continously with spoon.
  2. It comes to cooked stage after 2-3 mins,then add sugar and stir it till the sugar melts completely.
  3. heat 1tsp ghee in a pan fry cashew and kissmiss,add it to can add ghee extra.
  4. Kesar halwa is ready to eat.

Dal rice

This recipe can be taken as breakfast or lunch item. My kid loves this recipe a lot.

  • 2cup rice
  • 1cup toor dal
  • 1 onion long slice
  • 5-6 garlics
  • 1tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies long sliced
  • 1tsp dhaniya powder
  • pinch of turmeric powder
  • curry leaves
  • mustard and cumin seeds
  • oil
  • 1/2 tsp ghee
  • salt

  1. soak rice and toordal for half an hour.
  2. take 1tsp oil,1/2 tsp ghee in a  pan,and mustard,cumin seed,onion,green chillies saute it a min. add ginger garlic paste and garlic cloves again saute for a min.add curry leaves.
  3. For one cup of rice add 2 and 1/2 cup water,dont take for toor dal measurement.
  4. Add soaked rice and dal,add dhaniya powder,turmeric and salt.cook for 20min.
  5. Dal rice is ready to eat. It can be taken with coconut chutney or peanut chutney or raita.

banana,honey delight

This is a simple  and tasty dessert,which can be made in home.You can make and serve to guests with in 10min's.
  • 2 banana's
  • 1/2 lt toned milk
  • honey 4tsp
  • 200gm condensed milk
  • chopped cashew nuts,badam
  • kismiss
  1. Boil the milk and cool it.
  2. Take bananas,cut it into round slices,add the cooled milk.
  3. To this add condensed milk,honey,cashew nuts,badam,kismiss.mix well.Put it in refrigerator for half an hour.
  4. banana and honey delight is ready to eat. You can your choice of icecream flavour also.

Beetroot fry

  • 1 beetroot(grated)
  • 1 green chilli(long sliced)
  • 1 small onion(small pieces)
  • 1/2tsp mirchi powder
  • 1tsp coriander powder
  • mustard seeds
  • cumin seeds
  • curry leaves
  • oil
  1. Pour the grated beetroot into a pan add little water,cook till water evaporates
  2. Take another pan ,add 1tsp oil,add mustard,cumin seeds,onion pieces,green chilli and curry leaves,saute it for a minute.
  3. Add cooked beetroot saute for 5sec then add mirchi,coriander powder and finally salt.Saute it for 2-3min's so that all spices and salt will mix to beetroot. serve hot with rice or roti.
Nutrition value of Beetroot:
It contains Vitamin A,Vitamin C,Vitamin B6,riboflavin,(Vit B2),Vitamin B3,folate,calcium,iron,magnesium,phosporous,sodium,Zinc.

saggubiyyam(sabudana) punugulu

  • 1 Cup Curd
  • 1 Cup sabudana
  • 1 Cup Maida
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  1. Combine curd and sabudana,let it soak for 3-4hrs.
  2. In this mixture add maida,onion,green chilllies,jeera,curry leaves,coriander leaves,salt. mit it well . No need to add water.
  3. Deep fry oil in a pan,take the mixture drop it in oil. fry till golden colour.
  4. take it in to the plate,serve hot.
                                  Its taste is outside crispy,inside smooth. It can be taken as snack or break fast. It is quick and tasty.

Nutrition value of sabudana or sago:

It contains pure carbohydrate and contains little proteins and minerals.
It reduces the heat in our body
