This recipe tastes good with idli,it can also be taken with rice.
Ingrediants:
- Toor dal 1small cup
- 1onion long sliced
- 1tomato cut into big cubes
- 2drum sticks
- 1pinch asefatoida
- garlic cloves 3
- tamarind pulp 1 small cup
- 1red chilli split
- 4tsp sambar powder
- curry leaves
- mustard seeds
- turmeric pinch
- coriander leaves
- oil
- salt
Preparation:
- soak tamarind of lemon size for 5min,then make tamarind pulp by squeexing it. Cook toor dal by adding water and pinch of turmeric. after cooking make a fine paste by putting in mixi.Peel off the drum stick layer and cut into pieces.
- add 2tsp of oil in a pan add mustard and cumin seeds,asefatoeda,onion pieces,tomato pieces,saute it well. add garlic cloves and redchilli,drum stick pieces also.
- then add 3-4 cups of water,tamarind pulp,toor dal paste,sambar powder,salt.cook it till comes to boiling stage. garnish with coriander leaves. drumstick samabar is ready to eat.
